For my next project I am thinking I will make this, it is perfect for this time of year and it is so frickin' cute. I love the little duckie floatie and the sand pail... http://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW3064.pdf The only thing I will change most likely will be the color of her bathing suit. I am also looking for a good mermaid or vampire pattern( i know random huh) it is for a fictional character swap. I found a few good mermaids on Ravelry but none I loved and the vampire patterns weren't anything that I really loved. check out the above link and if you make this adorable lil bear send me some pics or if you want to work on it together we could do a crochet along:)
Since I am having a little trouble uploading photos at the moment, you can check out my pinterest "I made it" board" my latest is the mug rug and cozy and altered frame memo board. Now I am working on Three Tiny TV things for another swap, a whimsy jar which I have to make 3 handcrafted items and a Halloween swap that is huge...I am still stalking and coming up with ideas for that one, oh and a crochet basket for the June Pinterest Swap... here is the link http://pinterest.com/jcarter462/i-made-it/ and here is my pinterest http://pinterest.com/jcarter462/

I was in the sewing accessorie swap on craftster, I got a cover for my machine all the way from Austrailia. I also was in the mug rug swap and this is the mug rug I got from my partner;) This is what I sent for the mug rug swap. This is what I sent for the sewing swap, it is a sewing mat that goes under your machine and hangs over, you put your scissors and such in the pockets...
It has been a long week and I have not got a lot done. I am going to help my sister-in-law fill her etsy orders tomorrow or Sunday. I want to open my own etsy shop but I am not sure what I would sell.. Maybe crochet patterns and completed pieces or embroidery patterns or sewn items... Not sure. Me and the kids went over to mamaw's yesterday, they got a paddle boat that has pedals to make it go for the big pond behind their house. I wasn't planning on staying very long only an hour or so, but we ended up staying all day till like 5:30pm we even went fishing and caught some little fishies (which we released back into the water) I am so red today and I had long shorts on just above my knees so my legs look funny;) I made my first Dresden Plate, I put it on a little towl and hung it on the front of the stove. It was pretty easy once I got going I did sew the wrong end on the first step so I had to get out my seam ripper but I did enjoy it and I am so happy with how it turned out. I have only sewn maybe 10 times since getting my machine a few months ago. I need to take a class to be better at it, but I am really proud of myself for doing the dresden. I also made my first foundation paper piecing, it is a little piece of cake. I used YouTube to learn how to do it. It was really simple actually and I will definately be doing more of this. I also got some swap goodies. First an angel package from the craftser pinterst swap I love the hook roll I got, along with a stuffie fox and a sock monkey for my son and some fabric scraps.:)
