Star Wars and Zombies

I made this for someone, she had it pinned on her Pinterest board and since it had a black and white outline drawing on flickr I just printed and traced it on fabric. I think it turned out pretty good and i think she will really like it!

I am kinda in love with this bag, but alas it has been sent away :( I think I am going to make one for me too! it was fun making the 'blood' splatters all over it, and there are a few bloody fingerprints on it too!!! I love zombies....walking dead anyone???

Halloween Witch Potion Cabinet

I made this Witch's Potion Cabinet as part of a swap, I really love this, it started out as an unfinished cabinet for a dollhouse, then I ordered little bottles from Etsy, I filled them with various things, like glitter, paint, liquid glue, beads, and tiny papers. then i added labels to them like, Eye of Newt and Maggots,  Ground Unicorn Horn, Fairy Dust,Vampire Blood, and Swamp Juice, I also made some 'bottles' out of beads, I made little books out of Scrabble tiles and I made a polyclay pumpkin and a brain on a button plate.  I also bought a little pack of wooden bowls and made a black witches cauldrom for the top of the cabinet.I love how this turned out, it took me a long time all together, I glued everything in so that it would stay in place and nothing would get broken during shipping...Now i need to make one for me! i have a lot of full size witch potion bottles that I have displayed in my kitchen for Halloween but i need a mini one too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stenciling

Lately I have been seeing all these shirts that people have stenciled, it looks like it is not super hard and I love some of them so I decided to see if I could do it, I had made two stencils previously for bags but doing it on shirts is a little harder since it has stretch knit fabric, I found some images online and printed them out, traced the images onto freezer paper and cut them out with an Exacto Knife, I also used a Storm Trooper image from a Star Wars coloring book, I really like how that one turned out...

Tiny Houses and True Blood

First up, I recieved my Tiny House from the Tiny House Swap on Craftster, it is super small, but is big on detail:) I think it is adorable.  The trim with the little balls ( not sure the correct term for it) is the smallest kind I have seen of this type, and it has lace and a sheer trim too. And the little flower buttons, too cute....I am super worried about my package though, I tried the DC # and it said it couldnt track it....i really hope my partner recieves or else I will have to make a new one ASAP, plus I made her two so.

Can you see the tiny ant in the first picture? I think he wants to live there...who wouldn't?

I am all caught up on this season of True Blood, I dont have HBO so I had to find an alternate viewing experience:0  I am confused about Lilith, is she really  there or really there in their heads or are they just going psycho? And Mike Spencer as a vamp, eeewww.... and Warlow, why would Sookie's ancestor make a contract for his first Fae grand-daughter to be given to a vamper?  I guess we'll have to wait until next week to find out.  oh, I can't believe Bud was a bad guy, I really liked him, he was funny, I hated that bitch he was doing (the chunky one) I kinda wanted Luna to kill her, she was a total gank...ughhh.

Happy Sunday

Yesterday was Little Man's birthday! YAY!!! He got a Thomas the Train set that he is in love with:)  I love when I get the perfect present for my babies.

We went to IRCHA yesterday, it is a RC Helicopter event, with food, lots of vendors, and sponsored teams doing events and flying, they also had heli rides, it was in Muncie, about an hour away...since Jason is really into flying and has quite a few of his own helicopters, we of course planned on going, I didn't think I would enjoy it but it was actually pretty fun, and i had a double cheeseburger that was SOOO good, they also had Bison burgers, but i am not that brave:)

Here are a few photos, I didn't bring my camera so these aren't mine, but you get the idea.

Also, I am in a "My Favorite Things" swap on Ravelry, the basis of this one is to get $10 worth of YOUR favorite things to send to your partner, so this is what I recieved, my favorite is the yarn, I LOVE gray and this is such a dark and lovely shade, some cute stitch markers and a knitted dishcloth and a matching dish or wash rag, plus some candy and a few other things, Thanks partner................

Happy Birthday

AJ turned 6 last week and Drew turns 4 this week, so we had a combo party for them yesterday, along with a small party at home on their actual birthdays, for Drew, I made him a quilt, i found a cute robot panel at Joann's last week ( 30% off too!!), and I had a robot pillow kit that I got at the LQS monthsago that I never made, I used the sausage or burrito technique which I had never done before to make the pillow and it turned out good, the quilt turned out good too but my binding is kinda wonky... I will post pctures later. I also made some crocheted dish and wash cloths, I got about 50 balls of peaches and cream and a few other brands of cotton yarn, and about 10 skeins of acrylic yarn at a yard sale, all but maybe 5 were new. I got thm all for $10.  that is like the best deal ever, each one is $1.79 at the store plus some other cotton ones in a better brand fr $4.99 each.  I also got a plastic tube full of new beads and a small coffee can filled with loose beads for $10.  it was a major score!!  Pictures to come....
