This is the first softie I have made that uses a pattern and multiple pieces.  I think it turned out pretty good, he matches my room so for now he lives on top of my dresser!!!!!!!

 I made this little penguin a while ago but I just got around to sewing him all together when I went camping!  i got the pattern for free!

I made the mermaid for a swap on Ravelry.  I just made up the pattern.

The zombie I used a pattern I found online, It was for a swap too:)

True Blood: Sookie and Eric

Aren't these adorable? I got these two in a swap on Ravelry. Eric came with a little clay bottle of true blood and sookie has a pad or paper and some money in her apron pockets, she also has ' merlotte's ' embroidered on the back of her shirt, I am really in love with these two:0

Some new crafted goodies

I am super excited that school has started, I am looking forward to lots of craft time, I still have one kid home with me, but that's what cartoons are for...LOL... I actually brought my sewing machine and loads of fabric upstairs so I could sew at the kitchen table until school let out, I got 3 things done, 2 pincushions that I made for a swap and a dish towel for me, I don't really make a lot of things that I actually keep for myself, most things are for others so it was nice to be able to make something just for me!!! I have also been crocheting some and I plan to make a blanket soon, either crochet or quilting, I would love to make a queen sz quilt for my bed, but I am such a beginner I am not sure if I could manage it... I have lots of plans for more crafts as I am in a ton of swaps at the moment, but the good news is I have 4 packaged ready to post tomorrow. YAY

Hotness

It has been sooo hot here this past 2 weeks, it was 105' yesterday and it is humid too... way to hot to do anything outside so i have been making stuff. i have to take some photos and then i will post them:)

Beach-y Bear Crochet Pattern

For my next project I am thinking I will make this, it is perfect for this time of year and it is so frickin' cute. I love the little duckie floatie and the sand pail... http://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW3064.pdf The only thing I will change most likely will be the color of her bathing suit. I am also looking for a good mermaid or vampire pattern( i know random huh) it is for a fictional character swap. I found a few good mermaids on Ravelry but none I loved and the vampire patterns weren't anything that I really loved. check out the above link and if you make this adorable lil bear send me some pics or if you want to work on it together we could do a crochet along:)
