Happy Sunday

Yesterday was Little Man's birthday! YAY!!! He got a Thomas the Train set that he is in love with:)  I love when I get the perfect present for my babies. 

We went to IRCHA yesterday, it is a RC Helicopter event, with food, lots of vendors, and sponsored teams doing events and flying, they also had heli rides, it was in Muncie, about an hour away...since Jason is really into flying and has quite a few of his own helicopters, we of course planned on going, I didn't think I would enjoy it but it was actually pretty fun, and i had a double cheeseburger that was SOOO good, they also had Bison burgers, but i am not that brave:)

Also, I am in a "My Favorite Things" swap on Ravelry, the basis of this one is to get $10 worth of YOUR favorite things to send to your partner, so this is what I recieved, my favorite is the yarn, I LOVE gray and this is such a dark and lovely shade, some cute stitch markers and a knitted dishcloth and a matching dish or wash rag, plus some candy and a few other things, Thanks partner................

Chewie

Chewbacca dolls- I got these in a Holiday List Swap on craftster, aren't they adorable? I was only expecting one and my partner surprised me with two of these little guys, which is awesome since I have two boys, AJ LOVES Star Wars and will go ga-ga over his, I can't wait to see his face when I give it to him. I was planning on giving it to him for Christmas, but I may just go ahead and give it to him on his birthday in August, Drew's is in August too;)

I was in the sewing accessorie swap on craftster, I got a cover for my machine all the way from Austrailia. I also was in the mug rug swap and this is the mug rug I got from my partner;) This is what I sent for the mug rug swap. Friday

It has been a long week and I have not got a lot done. I am going to help my sister-in-law fill her etsy orders tomorrow or Sunday. I want to open my own etsy shop but I am not sure what I would sell.. Maybe crochet patterns and completed pieces or embroidery patterns or sewn items... Not sure. Me and the kids went over to mamaw's yesterday, they got a paddle boat that has pedals to make it go for the big pond behind their house. I wasn't planning on staying very long only an hour or so, but we ended up staying all day till like 5:30pm we even went fishing and caught some little fishies (which we released back into the water) I am so red today and I had long shorts on just above my knees so my legs look funny;) I made my first Dresden Plate, I put it on a little towl and hung it on the front of the stove. It was pretty easy once I got going I did sew the wrong end on the first step so I had to get out my seam ripper but I did enjoy it and I am so happy with how it turned out. I have only sewn maybe 10 times since getting my machine a few months ago. I need to take a class to be better at it, but I am really proud of myself for doing the dresden. I also made my first foundation paper piecing, it is a little piece of cake. I used YouTube to learn how to do it. It was really simple actually and I will definately be doing more of this. I also got some swap goodies. First an angel package from the craftser pinterst swap I love the hook roll I got, along with a stuffie fox and a sock monkey for my son and some fabric scraps.:)

Owl and Fox Swap Goodies

I was in the Fox and Owl swap on craftster. This is what I made for my partner, she liked owls more than foxes so that is what I focused on, but i wanted to add at least one fox too.. I think this is a prettty good package. I have yet to recieve mine;0

Can't Contain Me Pincushion Swap @ Ravelry

These are doll sleeping bags that I got in the pinterest swap on craftster...notice the litle boy modeling these beauts!!!!!

The little piggy was from a swap a while ago on swap-bot.. I made the flower the other day at the dentist office..it didnt turn out as cute as i wanted
I got the pincushion in a flower pot, the floss and everything else pictured in a rav swap. This lil pincushion is too cute!!

A Spike magnet with him burning on the Cross and a Beaded bag with the Buffy logo... I dont know how she made this but the beads are super tiny. It is exquisite.

More Swap Goodies

Happy almost Easter!!! I just recently returned home from shopping for the annual Easter toy for the baskets.. I got the best stuff...I may take some pics for you. well seee.. I was planning on going to Joanns too but (gasp) I decided I would rather just get home...I must be sick or something to miss up an opportunity for sale fabrics.

AGNS Goodies

This is what I recieved from the Anything Goes Needlework Swap...Isnt it adorable. The owls are perching on a needle and a crochet hook, which is perfect because the two main crafts I do are needle craft and crochet...My partner totally got me!! I sent hers off without getting a photo...grr but when she puts it up I will try and upload it on here... I am working on two more hoops that have to be sent off on the 4th and 5th and a Whedon swap that needs to go out on wednesday..I am trying to get them all done today and tomorrow because I am having some work done at the dentist tomorrow and I am going to be in a lot of pain so I may not be able to do much but sleep for the rest of the week...I am sending the kids to their grams house till Wednesday, I hope I feel better by then, four kids and me in pain does NOT sound like a good time... but I am excited about how I will look when I am done and healed up. Wish me luck.

Pinterest Swap on Craftster

I recieved these two hoops in the Pinterest Swap on Craftster.org...I love swapping... I make stuff that I wouldnt neccessarily make for myself and sometimes I love it so much that I make one for me too..Plus I try stuff I wouldnt otherwise and who doesnt love getting craft love in the post??? I love seeing all the talent that these women (and a few men) put into their crafts. I thought it would be hard to send something off but I know that since I am sending it to someone who knows and appreciates the hard work and time put into something will take the time to appreciate it and know its worth... ramble on much???
The tree has mine and my hubbys first initials 'carved' on it...cool huh??

Another Hoop

This is my hoopla wall...It is in my bedroom but I am thinking of switching it to the basement which is where my craft room is, which i cleaned and rearranged yesterday since I got two base whte cabinets at the thrift store. They were brand spankin new... I was so happy I have wanted cabinets for a while!

This is a hoop I made for another swap.. The theme was pinup girls...Do you like t. I am not the best embroiderer but I think my stuff is not too terrible...a few things Ive done have looked really great

It's been a while...

Yeah, I havent exactly been doing much blogging, but I am hoping to change that, get myself out there more and maybe start an etsy store??? We will see... I have been doing a lot of swaps on Craftster.org LOVE it I have a hoopla wall now... I will have to show you some pics of it.. but for now here are some things that I have made and recieved.

I got this in the Pinterest Swap..pretty cool huh? I could hardly believe CraftAddiction made me a queen size knitted blanket. I am in awe!!
